Tenants in Hololight Hub

Hololight Hub uses tenants to make sure that user and application data stay securely separated. Each tenant functions as an isolated environment where administrators manage their own users, applications, and access permissions. Users within a tenant can only access the applications that have been explicitly assigned to them and only on headsets authorized by the tenant’s administrators. This design prevents cross-tenant data exposure while enabling precise control over who can use which applications.

Within each tenant, administrators have comprehensive control over user and application management. They can add and edit users, adjust access permissions, and upload or maintain applications unique to their tenant. Administrators also have visibility into activity within their environment, including real-time usage data and historical insights, allowing them to monitor engagement and optimize deployment. Each tenant has a designated owner who holds the same permissions as other administrators, but whose name and contact details are listed as the primary point of contact for that organization.

Above the tenant level, tenant managers oversee multiple tenants within the broader Hololight Hub deployment. While their permissions mirror those of tenant administrators, their authority remains scoped to their assigned tenants. They can create, modify, and delete tenants, manage ownership details, and configure tenant-level restrictions. Tenant managers can view aggregate usage statistics, such as total hours of use, but they do not have access to user data or application management in other tenants.

What can be done with tenants:
