Hololight Stream settings
Objectives
-
Understand what settings are available with Hololight Stream.
-
Understand what each of the settings do.
Settings
| Some settings are only available on some devices. |
Signaling port
Specifies the default port used for signaling. This port must be the same port number you specified as the server signaling port.
Timeout
The amount of time Hololight Stream will try to establish a connection with the server. If this time passes and Hololight Stream can’t connect, Hololight Stream will stop attempting to connect.
Bandwidth
Sets the maximum bandwidth limit to use during a connection. You can choose between the presets "Low", "Average", and "High". These presets describe the quality of the stream. You can also set a custom value.
Advanced settings
Using advanced settings may negatively affect streaming performance.
Preferred codec
Sets which codec is preferred for the connection. The preference will only be used if both sides support the codec type.
Color space
Specifies the color space which is used for rendering. This should be the same as what is specified in the server application.
Latency log
Enables logging of latency data. This data writes to a CSV file stored on the device running Hololight Stream. You can use these logs to investigate networking behavior.
Each device has a specific place where Hololight Stream stores the latency log files. The name of the log file is always "Hololight Stream Log_<DATETIME>.csv".
