Connect to an application with Hololight Stream

Objectives

  • Be able to connect to an application using Hololight Stream.

Prerequisites

  • A Hololight Stream-supported device with Hololight Stream.

  • A Windows computer that can run the application you want to connect to.

Connect to an application with Hololight Stream

When an application using Hololight Stream is running correctly, it acts as a Hololight Stream server. This means you can connect to the application using a supported XR device running Hololight Stream. When you are connected you can use the application using Hololight Stream.

  1. Make sure your server machine and device are on the same network.

  2. Run your application on a Windows PC or select Play with the application’s project open.

  3. Open Hololight Stream on your supported device.

  4. If not already selected, select the Connect tab on the left side.

  5. Enter the IP address or DNS for the application in the field.

    To find your server device’s IP address, using the server device, press the Windows key and search for "Command Prompt". Select Command Prompt. Enter "ipconfig" and find the value next to IPv4. It should be something like "192.168.110.84".

  6. Select Connect.

After some loading you will connect to the application.
